Prayer: Experiencing Awe & Intimacy with God (New York: Penguin Group, 2014)

It is remarkable that in all of his writings Paul’s prayers for his friends contain no appeals for changes in their circumstances.

Rather, in them he reveals what he asked most frequently for his friends–what he believed was the most important thing God could give them.

It is– to know Him better.

Prayer is a spiritual discipline that can be very mysterious.  Although invisible and many times silent it is the power source for life.  I can’t say even after following Jesus for many years that I have a full understanding, but I do know the effects and affects that prayer brings.

Keller’s book address prayer through the years and leads to a follower of Jesus to experience God personally through prayer.
